Built from the pursuit of progress

I first started competing at 21 in federations such as UKDFBA and UKUP, taking top 3 in all shows. As I didn’t take a win, that became fuel to come back and win a show, which I did in 2023.

Since then I just haven’t stopped. Growing up, I was always the skinny kid and insecure about how I looked. I think that’s where the love for physique development came from, as it was important to me from an early age.

Training

Hard training with control

My current training style is mostly top set and back-off set, with most sets taken to failure. Isolation movements are approached with slightly higher volume, as they are more tolerable.

If I’m going to train, I don’t want to leave reps on the table. It’s hard training, but with control.

Recovery

Controlled growth

Recovery is built around consistency, structured eating and managing the push-up phase properly. The aim is to grow without letting things spill over too far.

Nutrition

Small surplus, sharp control

With recovery and nutrition, I’m currently eating 5 meals a day with a variety of protein sources, while carbohydrates are predominantly rice based.

As I’m pushing up, we’ll be entering a surplus, but only a small one and letting the training do the talking. Being in Men’s Physique, the last thing I want is to blow out my midsection and struggle to control it on stage.
